I bought my unit from here originally a few months ago, and thought being a loyal customer they would treat me better than they have.
I had a sour taste in my mouth after purchasing my unti in December and not being able to tag it until close to 60 days later. (So in return I was making payments but unable to use for a few weeks since it was not registered). I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt, and return to them to purchase another unit.
**Double check that when you purchase a trailer from Crabtree that the towing system is sufficient for the weight.**
I was given a quote on my trade that sounded reasonable, without stating what unit I wanted. I went in and found one I wanted, then all the sudden my trade offer dropped 2 grand. Keep in mind nothing changed except me selecting a unit to purchase. I was told "all discounts were exhausted". Zero money was taken off their unit, only money was knocked off my trade in. So if your in the market for "discounts" that don't benefit you, this is your place!
We love the attention we get when we go there.
Crabtree RV illegally parked a camper on my property, trespassed, and destroyed my property by tearing up my yard right after it rained. I was never contacted or asked if the camper that I had generously let a friend store on my property could be returned. When asked to repair the damage, we are being told that they were given permission by said friend. That friend does not own the property or the home and permission was NOT given by myself or my wife. Homeowners permission should always be received. So beware before buying a camper from this location that they do not respect other peoples property, do not willing repair the damage they cause, nor get permission from the homeowner to enter their property.
My family bought a new trailer from Crabtree RV with a sway bar stabilization system already installed. I went to get my truck fitted and balanced for pulling the trailer. My trailer hitch specialist pointed out that the sway bars were under rated for the trailer tongue weight. The bars included with the trailer were rated for 600lbs tongue weight. Our trailer is 745lbs tongue weight empty. The trailer hitch specialist had our trailer at 850lbs with the propane tanks full. I contacted Crabtree RV asked about trading the under rated bars for sufficient rated bars. They would not comply with my request to pay the difference between the two sets and stated that those bars were a part of the trailer package. So they intentionally installed under rated sway bars on this trailer. I did purchase 1000lb bars from them at their cost. However, I shouldn't have had to. The correct bars should have been sold with the trailer, rather than putting their customers at risk with under rated bars.
They Do great things for the community but kinda shady on the rv service .. I speak from buying a new one with lots of issues ..
